Through this scheme, insurance cover will be provided to the horticulture farmers against crop losses due to natural calamities such as crop disease, untimely rainfall, storm, drought, etc. A total of 21 vegetables, fruits and spices crops will be covered under this scheme. To take advantage of this scheme, farmers will have to pay a premium of ₹ 750 on the crop of vegetables and spices and ₹ 1000 on the crop of fruits. In lieu of which they will be provided insurance assurance of ₹ 30000 and ₹ 40000. A survey will be conducted by the government to settle the insurance claims.
