Lokmat had pointed out that 6,500 DNA test reports have been stalled across the state due to insufficient manpower. On 22 and 23 September, a report was published stating that due to a shortage of technicians, crimes related to POSCO and atrocities against women were pending. After that the Home Department woke up and instructed the Directorate to accept it and take recruitment action.
